SKIN PEELS

PREVENTION - CORRECTION - MAINTENANCE

Skin peels initiate the skin correction process with immediate visible results. They refine skin texture, even skin tone, and establish healthy cell turnover by delivering active agents into the skin for skin correction. They protect the skin's natural hydration while guarding against future skin damage.

Georgina Beauty Rooms Lira Clinical Skin Peels

How it works

The first step in our Lira Clinical treatment plan is the Initial Hybrid Peel, to start your peeling experience and prepare you (including products to use at home) for your skin care journey ahead. Hybrid facial peels are a more gentle and lighter approach to peels.

The next step is the Advanced Peel and then the Advanced Peel Plus treatments.  Important: NO FIRST TIME CLIENTS. These treatments require a consultation and skin preparation before you can book them.

A peel involves applying an acid solution to the face for a certain period of time. The acids cause a controlled injury to the skin removing dead skin cells, stimulating new tissue and improving skin texture and tone.

Superficial chemical peels decrease the pH, which loosens the connections between dead skin cells, inducing exfoliation and stimulating new cell growth. This process causes superficial layers of dead skin to peel off, revealing a smoother and more radiant complexion. Chemical peels can also thicken the epidermis, increase dermal volume and stimulate collagen.

The strength of a chemical peel is determined by the type of ingredients used, their concentrations and the pH of the formulation. Lira uses enzymes such as papaya, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Alpha Hydroxyacids (AHA’s) such as glycolic, mandelic, lactic, Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA's) such as salysilic acid and retinol for effective results.

Chemical peels have been used dating back to Ancient Egypt. Cleopatra used sour milk to improve the appearance of her skin, according to some sources. Lactic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) is the active ingredient in sour milk.

Lira Clinical are an award winning cosmeceutical skincare system who use nature’s ingredients to restore skin to its natural beauty. They use ingredients such as MASQ-tech, botanicals, AHA’s, BHA’s, topical probiotics, brightening agents, clinical cannabidiol, designer peptides, vitamin C, plant stem cells, mineral technology and natural compliant hydration.
