Georgina's 8 steps to beautiful toes

1.  Start by cutting your toenails with nail clippers.  Cut them straight across to avoid in-growing toenails.  Then file the nail gently to smooth.

2.  Remove hard and dry skin using a foot file on dry skin or a pumice on wet skin in the bath.  It is better to do this regularly, little and often is most beneficial.

3.  Soak your feet in a bowl or foot spa with a few drops of tea tree in it.  Tea tree has fantastic anti bacterial, anti fungal and anti viral properties.

4. Use a cream specifically designed for your feet and work the cream into the skin rather than quickly rubbing it in.

5.  Gently push your cuticles back with an orange wood stick.  Never use any metal objects to do this as they can be too harsh and you may damage the nail matrix where the nail is formed.

6.  Gently scrub your toe nails with a soap free hand wash before you paint them.  This removes any excess grease from the nail.  The polish last better and this also helps prevent the polish from peeling.

7.  Finish with painting your nails.  It is SO important to use a base coat before applying your nail polish to protect and prevent staining the nail. Then apply two coats of your favourite colour and finish with a top coat to give your nails a perfect finish.

8.  Sit back and relax while your toes dry and admire your beautiful feet!
